- Description
Within the CSP Enterprise, kits can be issued in different configurations for training environments. When a kit is different than the original kit, only the pieces that are issued to the Marine will show up on the Marines issue and return lists. This ensures that only components that the Marine is Issuing will populate as being issued to the Marine. In the DPAS-WM, there is no way to create a WH Level Kit, that can deal with these types of anomalies. The result is that "different" kits have to be broken out to their piece part components and then issued from the system. The result is a loss of the original end item, and confusing equipment accountability. RECOMMEND: It is requested that the DPAS-WM be updated with the ability to exclude components to a kit at the warehouse level. Excluded components will not show on the pick ticket, and will not be there on the return. This is a mission critical requirement due to the fact that the workaround to combat the problem has caused us to lose inventory accountability of the whole items that are disassembled. For example, we have many Plate Carriers at TBS that are issued without side sapi pouches, and a few other components. Those PC's are not on the records as the parent NSN, and are instead represented by the 8 parts they consist of. CANCELED. DPAS will not support this functionality.
