Description:
The current Equipment Pool field structure constrains the accurate categorization of program assets. Because a single program may support multiple concurrent efforts, each effort requires separate identification and segregation to ensure proper asset management and reporting.
Recommended:
Add an additional layer after Equipment Pool to allow for a more detailed asset breakdown. Example: Maintenance Activity = Maintenance Facility, Equipment Pool = Program, third level = Program-specific project breakdown. We can add a Project Code field for the asset (similar to the warehouse module implementation). This would be modifiable in the Maintenance Asset Master screen.
Mission Critical:
An additional layer would provide groups with a more detailed asset breakdown and enhance their ability to categorize and maintain assets effectively.
Benefits:
This enhancement will improve the accuracy of asset tracking and reporting by providing greater visibility into asset assignments and maintenance.
