00890 CBRNE - Track/View Member Sizes Warehouse AF: AFERMS Done

Description
Customer Mgmt, Member Profile - We need visibility of the sizes crew members are assigned and ability to track/view actual crew member sizes.

Recommended
Add tabs on Member Profile:

  • Chem Equip,
  • Flight Equip,
  • Oversized Equip,
  • Anti-exposure,
  • Medical info;

See attachment for required fields.
All fields need to have a secondary field that shows "Assigned Sizes". These are the sizes of equipment actually assigned to the member.
This gives us the ability to see any mismatches due to shortage of equipment.

Mission Critical
Critical. We need to ensure members get the proper size gear. If they receive the wrong size due to shortage we need to be able to identify that and correct the issue when gear becomes available. It is also critical that we have actual member size requirements in order to properly forecast equipment needs.

Benefits
Assurance that crew members have the right equipment. Increased forecasting accuracy.

Users
All AFERMS users.

We have no means to view Expiring Items at a Logistics Program level under Inquiries.

Recommended

  • Add an Inquiry > Inventory > "Expiring Items" which will allow the user to search by NSN or LIN/TAMCN.
    - As a search feature, include a Date Picker with "Items Expiring before this Date".
    - Ensure Date of Manufacture (DOM) Date of Installation (DOI) and Date of Expiration (DOE) columns are viewable.
  • Add a button "AFTO223" that populates and generates the attached form.
    - The AFTO223 is a time change forecast.
    - It has three years broke out by quarter and four additional years.
    - This is not calendar year based, It is fiscal years and quarters.
    - The first quarter of a year starts 1 October.
    - Allow multiple Stock Numbers to be selected for addition to the Form and allow the starting FY (fiscal year) to be selected before generating form.

Mission Critical
Critical. This is why we implemented DPAS. We cannot accurately forecast with the current inquiries.

Benefits
Reduces manpower and human error in time change forecasting.

00887 Inspections AF Follow-Up Warehouse Air Force Done

Description
The Air force has numerous periodic inspections that need to be tracked in days. The title for the inspection process is "QC" which is confusing for AF members since a "QC" is only one type of inspection we perform. Our Quality control types need to match required insp types. We have inspections that only trigger when the item is deployed. The inspection interval changes on items when they are deployed.

Recommended

  • Add "QC Inspector" Column to the QC/Inspection Grid
  • Provide capability for "QC Inspector" to add a QC to an already completed Inspection
  • Add "Re-Look" as a new status on the QC header, peculiar to the new QC Type, to indicate QC needs to be reviewed
  • Provide capability to view and add to Discrepancy Grid and SubGrid to Inspection/QC Grid Details
  • Provide capability to run Discrepancy Reporting
  • Change all current references of "QC" or "Quality Control" to "Inspection"
  • Under Catalog Mgmt, Stock Nbr, Characteristics tab: Replace insp dt req, test dt req, maint dt req, cal dt req with the insp types on the attachment.
  • For AF all possible quality control types need to match the inspections on the characteristics tab.
  • Inventory update, Manager: needs a "Deployed" column. A check box needs to be added to the edit screen to deploy the item. this switches periodic inspections to the deployed periodic inspections

Mission Critical
Critical. in order to fully implement DPAS in the AFE career field these requirements must be met. If not we cannot use DPAS as a standalone system.

Benefits
We will be able to fully implement all our equipment in AFERMS and accurately document inspections.

00885 SKO Streamline Warehouse Air Force Done

Description
In the WM-Material Mgmt, Set Kit Outfit, Assemble, Add process, we need the ability to create an empty Kit with a Serial Number assigned at creation. We can then update the Kit via Serial Update and vastly reduce the number of screens and clicks it takes to assemble a Kit.  We do not create a job and assign different people different parts of the task in a large warehouse. The person that builds the Kit is in one location co-located with all the parts and does the job to completion.

Recommended
The Kit Assemble process for Kits including LIN/TAMCN components should be streamlined to exclude the necessity to create and process a Pick Plan and Pick. Once the Kit Assembly request is added via the Kit Assemble process it should allow for the specification of a Member to associate the kit to Member sizes, and Kit Serial Nbr. Condition Code, Pick Plan Location or Container would not be necessary. After this information is retrieved, the inventory record for the Kit can be created and added to inventory to include the serial nbr and Member specified as well as the list of stock nbrs that will be included in the kit. The inventory record would be for a completely empty kit and be in Cond Cd G. Once the kit exists in inventory the component inventory can be added to the kit via the Serial Update process or Inventory Update “Yes” hyperlink and sent to QC from there.

Mission Critical
Critical-we do not use the pick process in our business practice. Using it in the software is an unnecessary burden on manpower.

Benefits
Vastly reducing the time to familiarize personnel with the software, reducing the time spent using the software by better than 50%
