Description:
DoW mandates warfighters utilize ELMS as and effective and efficient fleet management information system. M&U Module work order process prevents user a streamlined experience when adding Sub work orders within the Work Plan Browse function. The "My Plans" filter is default to toggled ON restricting visibility and causes issues if warfighter attempts to search system for specific DF-VEHS work plans. System searches broad (whole system), averting Site-established Work Plans selection driving 100s of hours of rework, preventing an effective and efficient fleet management information system process and delaying users from critical warfighter tasks
Recommended:
Create Site-Level Role toggle allowing the "My Plans" default state to be configured ON or OFF to display only Site-established Work Plans. Additionally, develop a site (e.g., DF-VEHS) work plan dropdown displaying work plans for maintenance activity selection within site.
Benefits:
DoDM 4500.36 mandates ELMS as an effective and efficient APSR and FMIS. New design mitigates user risk of inadvertently selecting improper work plans, enhancing the integrity of FMIS data through accurate and standardized maintenance documentation.
